It's World Animal Day (Wednesday 4th October) and Sutherland House School students were thrilled to welcome some special guests into school.
A favourite guest of the school, ZooLab made a return visit to Sutherland House to introduce youngsters to a variety of animals. Students were able to get up-close and hands-on to a variety of animals.
The ZooLab presenters aim to inspire through ethical and engaging animal encounters and enabled the children to view, hold and stroke the creatures. It meant they could learn more about the animals, whilst also gaining more confidence to do things they wouldn't normally.
World Animal Day is celebrated on 4 October every year with the aim to raise awareness about the welfare standards of animals and animal rights. Animals are an important part of the environment and the ecosystem.
