At Sutherland House School we always look out for meaningful and motivating learning opportunities for our students.

One student, Vestas (pictured here) is interested in both computers, and fixtures and fittings. So when the opportunity arose to fit a new screen in our IT suite, he was definitely the student for the job!

It was a great learning opportunity for the 15-year-old, and he used his problem solving skills to work out to fix it in place. It allowed him to make a positive contribution to his community.

While Vestas loves computers, his ambition after school is to become a locksmith at Sutherland House School with John, the school's caretaker. He says that he never wants to leave Sutherland House School.
