Children's Mental Health Week: 5-11 February
- School
February 8, 2024
During Children's Mental Health Week (5th-11th February) Sutherland House School has been promoting the importance of mental wellbeing.
The national awareness week was initially launched to give a voice to all children and young people in the UK and the theme for 2024 is My Voice Matters.
A group of children from school went to the NottAlone Live event this week where they got the chance to learn more about mental health and wellbeing. During the day there were activities and performers. They also listened to Freedom Foundation, which is charity that focuses on wellbeing through dance and music. Students were able to wander around the different stalls too.
This week also saw the return of the Music Man to school. Always a popular visitor with our students, he held interactive sessions, enabling students to get involved in any way they would like.
