As we head towards the summer break, students took part in a boxing taster session at the Nottingham School of Boxing.
Boxing classes are known to provide key skills such as self-esteem, resilience, discipline and respect and these sessions were organised to introduce boxing to the youngsters.
Nottingham School of Boxing held the sessions in a safe and inclusive training environment so that the students could comfortably learn a few moves and develop their confidence in and out of the ring.
The youngsters worked up a sweat as they worked through their exercises and learned basic boxing techniques through non-contact moves as they learned how to punch bags and pads.
The time passed quickly and the students loved their taster session. They're already looking forward to regular sessions, which will be held in September when they return to school after the holidays.
