Clinical services
Autism East Midlands Clinical Services Team provides specialist psychology, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy services to Sutherland House School.
Intervention and support is integrated into daily life at school and leading members of the clinical team are part of the school’s senior leadership team.
Specialist Services include a range of direct and indirect support for students. The team work alongside school staff to promote autism specific learning environments, person centred approaches and individualised programmes designed to meet the language learning, social communication, sensory processing, behavioural and emotional regulation needs of the students.

We provide timetabled access to our new sensory rooms and use dance and music therapy as a means of providing cognitive, social, emotional and motor developments for our students.
